Posted on

London may have Big Ben, but Blackpool’s competing to reclaim Blighty’s skyline with its newly renovated Tower – complete with see-through observation decks.

And remember to save by checking our journey planner for cheap tickets. So you’ve got plenty of cash left to spend by Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach.

Blackpool‘s famous for its illuminations, donkey rides, pleasure beach and arcades, but not least of all, its Tower.

And tourists now have even more reason to hop on a train headed for the Las Vegas of the North – Blackpool Tower has just re-opened to visitors after a multi-million pound makeover.

The Tower’s now operated by the brains behind Alton Towers and Thorpe Park – so anyone making the trip to Blackpool can expect bigger and better things from the city’s best-loved landmark.

In fact, visitors will now find dungeons, a ballroom, a circus workshop and more inside the tower, as well as an observation deck in the Tower’s tip – complete with a SkyWalk.

And there’s a Madame Tussauds waxworks, a sealife centre and pirate-themed adventure golf nearby too – making Blackpool a great destination for a family day trip or weekend break.

It’s easy to get to Blackpool Tower by rail. Just take the train to Blackpool’s North Rail station and you’ll be a five minute walk from the Tower.

Just don’t forget to check our journey planner for cheap tickets and cheap first class tickets to Blackpool – you’ll save plenty, so you’ll have even more to spend at the arcades or by the beach.
