World Photo London (27 – 29 April 2012) is a must-attend event for all photographers, whether you’re a professional or just starting out. And, if you head to London for the event, you’ll also be able to enjoy seeing some stunning images in the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition too.

Read on to find out more. And make sure you check out our journey planner for cheap train tickets to London first – you could get to see great snaps for a snip.

If you’re looking for tips on how to take the perfect picture, hop on board a train to London and head to Somerset House for this year’s World Photo London event.

World Photo London 2012

Run by the World Photography Organisation, World Photo London’s programme features a wide range of talks, seminars, workshops and critique sessions which anyone can attend – and many of these events are free of charge too.

It also incorporates the National Photography Symposium 2012, a major event for photographers and photography professionals, organised by Redeye, the Photography Network, and the invitation-only Sony World Photography Awards and Gala Ceremony, which takes place on the 26 April 2012 – so it’s great to go if you’re looking to rub shoulders with the who’s who of photography and maybe even get talent-spotted.

World Photo London Highlights

Highlights of the 2012 World Photo London are set to include:

• Beginner’s Portrait Workshop – you’re sure to pick up some expert tips during this three hour workshop with David Graham, the award-winning British portrait photographer, which takes place on 28 April 2012 at Somerset House.

The session takes place on 29 April 2012 at Somerset House and tickets cost £5.00 per person.
