Posted on

Every Friday, 10 lucky people win £10’s worth of loyalty points by tweeting their tips about a set destination to #RSH Guides, for us to share through foursquare. This week, we asked you for your favourite Newcastle watering holes.

Read on for this week’s winning tips and find out where to go if you’re looking to wet your whistle in Newcastle. And don’t forget to share your tips with us next week too, using Twitter – you could win loyalty points to put towards cheap train tickets and more.

@Cougles took the first of this week’s prize points with a Twitter tip to try The Cumberland in Ouseburn. And with a wide range of ales on offer as well as a beer garden to sup in and live music to drink by, we can see why!

@altontop steamed into this week’s top 10 with a top recommendation to head to The Quayside – a Wetherspoon’s pub with its own beer garden by the banks of the Tyne.

@TheLeafyOne made it into this week’s picks too with a great shout recommending The Cluny is Ouseburn Valley – and this one could be a great shout for arty suppers as it even hosts the odd craft fair.

@miss2miss took home those loyalty points too with a top tweet suggesting we try the very glamorous Perdu Bar, Boutique, Cocktail Lounge and Secret Garden.

@Molly888 railroaded her way into our top ten this week with his Twitter suggestion to go try the Pacific Bar Café if you’re looking to boldly-go for a slick, chrome-filled bar with a space age feel.

@milliemoo2221 chugged into this week’s top 10 with a top tweet try cocktails at The Living Room – where you can sip in style, as there’s a rather swish baby grand piano there too.

@fishcake555 also won those prize points with a Twitter recommendation to head for The Bridge Hotel – as it’s got an outside terrace with great views over Newcastle’s famous Tyne Bridge.

@CallumCollie won those loyalty points too with a tweet recommending Brewdog’s newest bar – where you can try the Scottish brewer’s “famously punk-craft” beers.

@PaulRIrwin made it into our winners’ list too with a not one, but two picks ! Paul says to try The Cumberland Arms for beer and grub, and Newcastle’s Bar Loco for Italian food and drinks in arty, atmospheric surrounds.

@perrygrove pulled in the last of this week’s points with a top Twitter tip to get your groove on at Floritas – where the DJ plays bongos over the top of his tracks.

Congratulations to this week’s winners – and thanks for all of your Twitter recommendations! If you didn’t win this week, don’t worry – you could win in next week’s competition.

Just don’t forget to tweet your tips to us at #RSH Guides, so you can be in with the chance of winning some loyalty points next week.
