Abbey Wood Station (ABW)

Abbey Wood Station is situated in the suburb of Abbey Wood, part of which lies in the Borough of Bexley and part of which lies in the Borough of Greenwich, in South East London. It is the closest railway station to the suburb of Thamesmead and should not be confused with Filton Abbey Wood Station in Bristol. Southeastern Trains uses the station for its services on the North Kent line.

Abbey Wood Station is currently being rebuilt as part of the Crossrail project. The station will serve as the terminus for one of the two eastern branches and will also be a cross-platform interchange between terminating services. Crossrail will provide links to Canary Wharf and ExCel London, then continue on to Heathrow Airport and Maidenhead.
