Mid Hants Railway (Watercress Line) – Wizard Weekend

For those of you wanting to follow in the magical footsteps of Harry Potter, this is your chance! Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October is ‘Wizard Weekend’, which brings with it unlimited rides on the Wizard Express and allows you to walk across the footbridge where Harry Potter received his Hogwarts Express ticket. Watch as owls fly above your head and prepare to be astounded at the haunting magic show.

Chinnor Railway – Scream and Steam

This Halloween you have the chance to ride The Icknield Line in a train full of spooks and ghouls. With departures starting on Saturday 28th October and Sunday 29th October, watch as the eerie Chiltern foothills come ‘alive’ in a different and spooky way. With goodie bags for children in Halloween fancy dress, this event is sure to be a treat.Plus, try out their Bistro dining train on the 28th.

Isle Of Wight Steam Railway – Halloween Fright Night

Grab your broomstick and wizard’s hat and head down to the ‘Train of Fright’. With four trains departing on 28th October each offering a different ‘scare level’, you’re sure to find the right frightful journey. Take the ghost train into the Island’s deserted countryside, enjoy the ‘Spooky Owl Experience’ and cower at the ‘Train Story Ghost Experience’.The whole week prior (23rd - 27th) is also Wizard Week at the station

Severn Valley Railway – Ghost Trains

Starting in Kidderminster, you will begin by meeting ‘Disco Daddy’ who will get you into the spooky spirit. Then climb aboard the Ghost Train and prepare for a thrilling ride out into the countryside toward Arley, from which then you will hopefully return. With fancy dress contests, face painting and more, prepare for the fright-fully good ride.

East Lancashire Railway – Halloween Ghost Trains

This Halloween the Creepy Carnival is heading to East Lancashire Railway, and with it comes a whole host of creepy clowns, hilarious hanuters and giggling ghouls. Hop on board the Ghost Train of Ghouls and meet the friendly freaks of the Creepy Carnival Spooktacular.

Great Central Railway – Steam & Scream

This Halloween, climb aboard the Great Central Railway steam train and head into the night with ghosts and ghouls as your guides. At each station you can take part in a wide variety of spooky activities such as guided ghost hunts, best dressed competitions and ‘Meet the Beasts’.

Apedale Valley Light Railway – Spooky Specials

Don’t be afraid, be petrified! Hop on board for the fright of your life on 28th and 29th October. Trains run from 4pm – 8pm with less scary trains running at 11.30am over the weekend, you’re sure to experience the scare factor this steam train provides.

Kirklees Light Railway – Halloween Ghost Trains

After departing from the station sit back and relax as the train heads into the Haunted Woods and make sure you keep a look out for zombies lurking in the dark. Take caution as ghosts and ghouls clamber on board, and, if you dare, head on down to the ‘Carriage of Doom.’ Trains will be running on 28th - 29th October, plus an extra one on Halloween itself, so climb on board and prepare to be scared.

The Vale Of Rheidol Railway – Halloween Ghost Trains

Don your best costumes and head on down to Aberystwyth for this haunting Ghost Train. Stopping off at Devil’s Bridge station, children are invited to feast on Halloween Hotdogs and adults will be served hot pork baps. Beware, this is a devilishly frightening and is not for those of a nervous disposition.

East Kent Railway Trust – Halloween Train Of Terror

Prepare for a scare with this Ghost Train. With five departures daily, head on down and get ready for a fright. If you do decide to board the ‘Train of Terror’ you’ll experience the ‘Haunted Tunnel’ and many more surprises along the way.
